🧬 The origin of Mon Médoc
Mon Médoc was born out of a personal experience that revealed a much broader issue. Two days before my 50th birthday, my father was hospitalized and diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare autoimmune disease affecting the peripheral nerves, often triggered by an infection. It causes progressive muscle weakness that can lead to paralysis. Most patients recover fully with proper treatment and close medical follow-up.
After a week at the neurological center in Auch, he returned home with a heavy treatment based on morphine. The dosage was complex and a source of anxiety for my mother, who was afraid of making a mistake. To help her, I designed a medication schedule on Google Sheets. This greatly eased daily life, but I quickly realized that creating such a calendar for each treatment was time-consuming and tedious.
That is when the idea of Mon Médoc was born: I wanted a digital “assistant” that could reassure families and bring clarity in a time marked by worry and fatigue—an automated tool capable of turning any prescription into a clear and accurate medication calendar. After several months of development, I created a website along with a Telegram bot that even allows treatments to be dictated by voice command.
When I presented the tool to my father's neurologist, his reaction was immediate: enthusiasm, surprise, and appreciation. His positive feedback was decisive in telling me he had never seen such a tool before, even though treatment adherence remains a major challenge in patient care.
Since then, Mon Médoc has continued to grow. My ambition is to further develop it so that it can meet the needs of more people, while complying with the strict requirements of the medical field. This project was born from a painful family experience, but it now carries a collective mission: to make medication management simpler and safer for everyone.
